About VOW
VOW is an iPhone app created and developed by Antoine Fraboulet, an independent developer in France.
Why I made it
Many tools for quitting porn ask you to involve someone else: a person who keeps a passcode or receives reports. Some people do not have that person, or want to work on this privately. A blocker whose passcode you know can also be turned off when an urge hits.
VOW gives you time instead. It holds the passcode that protects the iPhone's adult website filter. If you request the code, you have to wait 24 hours to receive it. You can cancel the request at any point.
How I write the guides
- No invented statistics. The guides distinguish research findings from promises made online.
- No lectures. The app and the guides aim to help without shame.
- Practical steps. iPhone instructions are checked against the device and Apple's documentation.
- Only necessary data. The app uses Sign in with Apple and does not ask for your name or email address. See the privacy policy.
